ABOUT MY PRACTICE

Many of the realities of our world are hard to imagine, not to mention endure. Sometimes situations arise that overwhelm our ability to cope. These situations violate our core needs such as safety, trust, belonging, self-esteem, or self-expression. When this happens, it can be difficult to fully engage in our everyday lives.

While there is no end to life’s challenges, we can get better at navigating them and keeping our grounding. My psychotherapy practice is aimed at understanding the modern human and the complex world around us. Through collaborative exploration, we will discover ways to help you feel alive and empowered to confront life.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

While I will use a variety of methods to assist in achieving greater self-awareness, my fundamental approach is one of respect, learning, and integration. Respect means honoring all of who you are. I will respect your life story and desire for change and work to establish a trusting working alliance with you. I will use a variety of lenses, such as psychological, cultural, historical, physiological/biological, and the latest advancements from neuroscience to help us evaluate and learn more about you. As we embark on increasing your self-knowledge, you will gain tools to help you better engage in daily life.
